Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today is Andrew's daddy's birthday. We agree that he is the best Daddy any little guy could ask for. Andrew is hard at work making what I am sure will be a lovely card so I am going to post some pics on his behalf.

San Francisco, one of the many great trips(and the last) we took pre baby.
This is the trip where John hung his clothes in the closet at the hotel and then left them there. This is known as "Classic John".

John changed all of his diapers for the first two weeks so that I could recover. Maybe all those dirty diapers are behind their close bond.

John and Andrew have traveled many places together. This is them in Charleston.
They have taken many walks together.
They have enjoyed lots of playtime. They love hanging with friends.

They love doing exciting things like driving a fire truck.

And playing in the park.

But they also take the time to snuggle.

Now that Andrew is getting older they are enjoying some of the same hobbies like playing drums.

Driving trucks
And riding bikes

Andrew knows he is lucky to have such a great dad. One his is favorite things to do is "play Daddy". Playing Daddy requires him to clip either keys or a fake blackberry to his pants, drag around a laptop bag and carry a Perrier bottle.
John is also a great husband who does miserable things like wallpapering the dining room and he also works hard so that Andrew and I can stay home together.
Happy Birthday Daddy/John, we love you!

Andrew goes to the dentist

Andrew had his first trip to the dentist this morning. I told him that some nice people wanted to look at his teeth but he was totally unprepared for what happened. It took four adults to hold down our tiny little 25lb baby. They did manage to finally get his x- rays, to my surprise. Even through his screaming and crying he still had to say "Hi" and "Bye bye" to everyone that walked by. The people there were really nice and said that most first dental exams go this way. As usual he made a fast recovery and was back to his happy self as soon as they stopped looking in his mouth. Like an adult that needs a beer after a tough day at the office he said "It's o cream time*" when we left the dentist. Instead we came home and he took his nap. After he ate his dinner he saw that I made him cupcakes and he was very excited.

*o cream is what he calls ice cream

Chocolate butter cream is good.

Good and messy.

Cheerio truck

John and I have been hearing some complaints that the blog hasn't been updated recently. I guess we haven't been doing anything post worthy but I know his grandparents don't care and want some new pics. So here are some new pics of Andrew.

He has discovered a new way to make eating his Cheerios more interesting. He loads up the back of his truck.

And just eats out of that.

Just another day being an independent two year old.
