Andrew takes a trip

Last week Andrew took a fabulous trip to Bethany Beach. He had a ton of fun and there are a lot of photos to share.

Pop Pop and Mimi kindly invited us to the beach for the week and we gladly accepted. John couldn't stay for the whole week ( he has to save his vacation days for another trip we are taking next month) Andrew however took advantage of a full week of relaxation(being a toddler is tough )
Here is Andrew first thing Saturday morning. Ready to hit the road.

Upon his arrival he checked out the baby pool. He was skeptical. By the end of the trip this became his #1 hot spot.

Checking out the beach.
It was a little scary at first.

Andrew was holding on very tight.

He loosened up when he found out he could swing on the beach.

And go on the sliding board.

He also got to do some non beach activities like eating on a train.
Fulfilling his one vacation request-eating pickles.

Then Andrew started warming up to the beach.

This was aided by all of the fun beach toys Mimi got him.

Andrew and Nana.

One of his favorite beach activities is sitting in the chair. He requests it frequently.
Andrew also got to check out the boardwalks at Rehoboth Beach.

Andrew and the whitest person on the beach.

Andrew really got into the baby pool.

Relaxing with Daddy.

Showing AMJ his moves.

Playing with Uncle Bill and a beach ball.

Andrew got to go somewhere really exciting. An amusement park that was just his size!

He drove the hell out of this fire truck. He steered his little hands off and rang that bell as if someones life depended on it.

More steering.

He rode this one twice.

Up high and loving it.

On this ferris wheel.

Time to fly a plane.

Flying and sucking the thumb.

Time to drive his hog.

Serious buisiness.

No shame in driving a pink big rig.

Steering.

Andrew also got to go on a "tycle" ride with Pop Pop.

Riding around Bethany.

Trying out some boardwalk fries doused in vinegar.
"Good!"

After the fries a trip was made to the kite store. Here is Andrew helping Mimi launch the kite.

Way up high.

Down on the beach a lot of fun was had with the discarded streamers.

All packed up and ready to go home.
We had a great time running around the beach, playing at the baby pool, riding rides at the amusement park, seeing AMJ Uncle Bill and Nana, and watching what seemed like an endless amount of Thomas the Train dvds. A big thank you to Pop Pop and Mimi for hosting us!
